A Scoville Unit is the amount of capsaicin, or heat, in a chile pepper. Wilbur Scoville figured out how to measure the heat and named the process after himself. A Jalepeno is considered mild and registers 2,500 to 5,000 whereas the de arbol comes in at 20,000. |
