The original Bonita Girl Bonnie Lass keeps watch on construction
progress from the newly framed bathroom shower.
Here are the steps to framing, insulating, and sheathing the interior
walls.
1. Install 1" X 2" batons to the exterior wall with 1
1/4" screws in pre-drilled holes.
2. Install 1/2" insulation cut to size between
the batons. We have opted to black out the last two windows in the bedroom.
3. Screw 1/4" sheathing plywood onto batons. This will be
a good base for the finish trim. We decided against using sheet
rock because it is too flexible and might break under stress.
Collection of "goodies" left behind by the school kids
found in every nook and cranny.
A fan is a staple of any bus rennovation project.
This is the basic framing for the closet. The electric breaker
box will be located in the closet. The black lead is the power in
cord. It will eventually go through the floor and be accessible
from outside the bus ready to plug in to either a generator or RV
site electric hook up. We want to research solar panels for the
roof as well.
Breaker box detail, there are 3 breaker switches
rated at 15 amps each. We plan to have 4 light switches on one circuit;
5 double plugs on the 2nd circuit; and the refrigerator and air
conditioner on their own circuit.
